Controll3r is designed for technical work where software-only remote access is unavailable, unreliable, or not appropriate.

System Recovery

Use the live console to work through firmware setup, boot menus, recovery media, local installers, locked operating systems, and machines with broken network access. The target only needs a video output and a USB port for keyboard and pointer input.

Deployment and Imaging

Controll3r can help repeat structured setup work across similar machines. Paste-as-typing, snippets, shortcuts, saved sessions, recording, and Visual Anchor macros reduce manual repetition while keeping the operator in control of the hardware path.

Firmware, BIOS, and UEFI Validation

Firmware workflows often happen before drivers, agents, remote desktop services, or target networking exist. Controll3r operates at the keyboard, pointer, and monitor layer, making it suitable for BIOS/UEFI configuration, boot option testing, and repeatable validation steps.

Lab Automation

Headless mode and the REST API let a saved operator setup participate in larger lab workflows. API clients can check health, collect screenshots, upload macros, and start macro playback with bearer-token authentication.

Air-Gapped and Restricted Targets

Local operation does not require a target network connection. The operator can still capture the target screen, type controlled input, run OCR locally, and record evidence without deploying target-side software.

When Not To Use It

If the target operating system is healthy, reachable, and already supports a high-bandwidth remote desktop tool, that tool may be the simpler choice. Controll3r is for the layer beneath those tools and for workflows that must behave like physical keyboard, pointer, and monitor hardware.
